Program one

A complete classroom management system in one training day

Teachers learn and practice each strategy during the day, so the system is ready for their very next class.

Why this training

Is discipline taking your instruction time?

01

Where the time goes

Low-level disruption, repeated all day. Without classroom control, good lessons stay undelivered.

02

What the system does

Teachers reduce or eliminate 70 to 90% of low-level, chronic behaviors and get back to teaching.

03

Why it matters for staffing

Classroom management is the number one reason educators leave. Teaching it lowers stress and keeps people in the profession.

Research

"Teachers' actions in their classrooms have twice the impact on student achievement as school policies regarding curriculum, assessment, staff collegiality, and community involvement."

Marzano, R. J. (2003). What Works in Schools. ASCD.
The five components

Five strategies in one day

Each one is taught, modeled, and practiced, and teachers leave with a playbook they can use.

Component One

Self-control strategies

Everything else in the training builds on self-control. Teachers learn to read the room, stay calm, and catch disruptions early, preventing up to 90% of low-level problems.

Component Two

Teaching rules and procedures

Teachers set up the first week of school for the whole year. Expectations get a lesson plan, modeling, and repeated practice, and office referrals go down.

Component Three

Responding to challenges

Timing matters when a student challenges a teacher. Using the diffuser system, contingent withdrawal of attention, and a supportive stance, teachers defuse confrontations in five seconds or less, and they stop giving repeated warnings.

Component Four

Classroom ecology and arrangement

Fifteen desk arrangements, and when to use each one. Teachers also learn where to stand so challenges are less likely to start.

Component Five

Student-teacher relationships

Teachers learn to reach the students who test every limit. Trust comes first, and students who trust their teacher become contributors instead of distractions.

Agenda

How the day runs

Here is a typical full day. Half-day versions are available, and dates are set around your calendar.

The morning block (8:30 AM to 12:00 PM) starts with mindset and the room: staying calm, designing the classroom environment, the teaching power position, and fifteen desk arrangements. It ends with teaching and enforcing rules and procedures.

After lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, the afternoon block runs until 3:30 PM. It turns to discipline and relationships, including how to reach non-compliant students, the five immediate steps to regain control, and how to stop repeating requests and warnings.
